It’s been a while, I know. I was on a brief (or not so brief) hiatus while in the thick of Yoga Teacher Training, moving into my first home, and pushing through the busiest time of year at my day job. But ya girl is back, and you can expect a flood of new posts that have built up over the past month.
So, why don’t we start with two new GotJuice? recipes that have kept me going during this busy month? The recipes below are centered around my current love affair with Hemp Milk – hemp is a super food, full of Omega-6 AND Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A, E, B-12 and folic acid. Needless to say, you can substitute the Hemp Milk with any milk of your choice. Give the recipes a try and let me know what you think!
1) 1/2 banana, 1/2 avocado, Pomegranate (tis the season!), or blackberries/raspberries (frozen is most cost effective this time of year), some unsweetened Hemp Milk, and a bit of water to dilute, if you like. Blend and you’ve got a meal in a glass! I’m into tart tastes this time of year, but if you prefer, you can substitute the tart fruit for strawberries and add a touch of agave nectar.
2) Of course, citrus fruits also are great this time of year, and the following recipe is great in the morning – 1/2 banana, three whole carrots juiced, one small orange or half large grapefruit juiced, some unsweetened Hemp Milk, and a bit of water to dilute, if you like. Blend and you’ve got breakfast in a glass!
